BCHL Round Robin Semifinal Details Announced, PG Trades Clements and Ballarin, Merritt Moves Willcox to Trail:

The BCHL round robin semifinal series is set after thrilling game seven wins for Penticton over Vernon 2-0 and Nanaimo over Powell River 3-2. The Vees and Clippers join Chilliwack in the unique round robin format and this year sees all three regular season division winners move on to the semifinals to determine the Fred Page Cup finalists.

The BCHL division finals saw a total of 29,397 fans attend 18 games, which is an average of 1,633 per game.

Each team plays two home and two road games in the round robin setup, with the top two teams advancing to the Fred Page Cup final. If one team is mathematically eliminated from the round robin before its conclusion, the tournament stops and the teams remaining begin their preparations for the Fred Page Cup.

The following tiebreakers are applied in order to determine first place: most points, most points acquired in games played between tied teams, superior goal differential from games played between tied teams, superior goal differential from overall games played in round robin; round robin seed.

After first place is declared, if the other two teams are tied in round-robin points, they will play a tie-breaker game hosted by the higher round-robin seed on Monday, April 6.
