Much has been made about goaltender Andrew Hammond (West Kelowna AP, Surrey, Vernon, 2006-09) over the last couple of weeks as his play is lights out for the Ottawa Senators. Kevin Woodley of NHL.com wrote a great piece about Hammond and how his story is one of wonderful perseverance. Check it out here.

The Nashville Predators assigned forward Garrett Noonan (Vernon, 2009-10) from Milwaukee of the AHL to Cincinnati of the ECHL. The Norfolk, Massachusettes product has nine points (four goals, five assists) in 38 games with Milwaukee this season and no points in five games with Cincinnati. The Predators drafted Noonan in the fourth round, 112th overall in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
