Just like last year, four current BCHL players were chosen in this year's NAHL Entry Draft. Two of the three were drafted by the Corpus Christi Ice Rays while one was chosen each by the Lone Star Brahmas and Amarillo Bulls.
Two of the four players were chosen from the Chilliwack Chiefs while one was chosen from the Merritt Centennials and one from the Prince George Spruce Kings. Of the four players selected last year in the NAHL Draft, none of them jumped to that league.
Just like the USHL draft last month, being chosen doesn't necessarily mean the players will leave their BCHL clubs and head south, it just means their rights now belong to an NAHL team if they decide to move to that league. Their BCHL team would continue to hold their Canadian junior 'A' rights.
