After not playing a single game for the Cowichan Valley Capitals, 19-year-old Ambrose Firkus is headed back to his home province of Alberta.
Firkus was dealt by the Caps today to the Alberta Junior Hockey League's Okotoks Oilers in exchange for 18-year-old forward Taylor Allan, who is in his first season of junior A hockey as a full-time player and future considerations.

The Cowichan Capitals have traded the playing rights of Ambrose Firkus to the Okotoks Oilers in exchange for the playing rights of 1995 born Taylor Allan.
Taylor is in his first year with the Oilers and has 5 goals, 10 assists and 55 penalty minutes in 31 games.
Coach Beatty says, “Taylor is an 18 year old forward that has skill and grit. He is a player that has been on the Caps radar and is a good fit for our team.”
Albeta scout Ray Robak identified Taylor as a top Alberta prospect.
The Capitals welcome Taylor to the Cowichan Valley and look forward to seeing him on the ice.
