West Kelowna Moves Connor Bucsis to Flin Flon as Futures From Earlier Trade:

When the West Kelowna Warriors acquired Reid Simmonds from on October 22nd and saw their roster start to regain some health, GM and Head Coach Rylan Ferster needed to make some room.

As a result, forward Connor Bucsis (95) was traded to the Manitoba Junior Hockey League's Flin Flon Bombers for future considerations.

The futures were actually owed to the Bombers after the Warriors picked up the junior A rights to goaltender Andy Desautels (94) back in August. So the deal is essentially Desautels for Bucsis.

There is some sad news to pass along, with Connor Bucsis heading to Flin Flon to conclude the deal that brought Andy Desautels to West Kelowna.

I know for certain that Coach Ferster had a tough time seeing Bucsis go, and he’s not alone.

‘Butchy’ handled it like a pro (he played his best hockey yet on the weekend and even went on a school visit on Wednesday) and he’ll be a rising star in the SJHL.

Life in hockey can be tough, but I guess that’s the price a club has to pay for a 19 year-old #1.

And the Bombers take on the trade:

Flin Flon Bombers Head Coach and General Manager Mike Reagan announced a pair of deals for the team as they settle in for a week off of game action.

The first of the day was the acquisition of 1995 born forward Connor Bucsis from the West Kelowna Warriors of the BCHL.

Bucsis (Saskatoon, SK) is listed as 6’2 and 190 pounds; he registered 6 points (1g, 5a) in 14 games with the Warriors.

As a member of the Tisdale Trojans of the SMHL, Bucsis compiled 37 points (20g, 17a) in 39 games and played three games with the Nipawin Hawks.

This deal finalizes the transaction the Bombers made before camp when they sent goaltender Andy Desautels to the Warriors for Future Considerations.

The team also traded 1995 born forward Ram Brar to the Notre Dame Hounds in exchange for future considerations.

Brar played in 4 games for the Bombers not registering a point.

He’ll join former Bombers defenseman and fellow BC’er Chandler Bruyckere who was traded to the Hounds earlier in the season.
