A Look Back - 2011 BCHL Affiliate Draft:

Back in 2011, the BCHL Governors voted to hold a 15-year-old Affiliate Draft in October of that year. The draft consisted of two rounds, with each team eligible to select two players.

With two years passing since the draft, I thought it would be interesting to have a look back at the selections and see where they are now, as they enter their 17-year-old year of hockey.

Of the 29 players selected, 16 (Revel, Meek, Dombrovskiy, Lang, Foyle, Mennear, Gropp, Hewson, Stadel, Povelofskie, Simpson, Skapski, York, Friesen, Millar and Mick) have played at least one game in the BCHL and 12 (Revel, Meek, Lang, Foyle, Mennear, Hewson, Stadel, Povelofskie, Skapski, Friesen, Millar and Mick) played at least one game with the team that drafted them.

Seven players wound up playing with or committing to teams other than the one which draft them (Meek, Dombrovskiy, Simpson, Gropp, Hewson, Povelofskie, Dillon and Yorke)

At 59 games played, Trail Smoke Eaters forward Mitch Foyle has played the most BCHL games among all drafted players and also the most with the original team that drafted him. Vernon's Logan Mick has the next most with the team that drafted him at 49 games played.

  2. Gropp's GP aren't with the team that drafted him though. However, I see how that sentence is a bit unclear, I'll edit it.
