Surrey-Brooks Trade:

The Surrey Eagles opened a spot on their roster to add a player ahead of tomorrow's trade deadline by sending 19-year-old defenceman Eric Chevrier to the Brooks Bandits of the Alberta Junior Hockey League for future considerations.

I don't know if the Eagles are going to acquire a player for sure, but by trading Chevrier and not receiving anything immediately in return, it makes sense that Surrey head coach and GM Matt Erhart would fill the roster spot left open.

The trade hasn't been announced by the Eagles or posted on the BCHL website yet, but it is listed under "Transactions" on the AJHL website.
