Victoria-Newmarket Trade:

Although he's already played a game with the Grizzlies as an AP, the BCHL announced today the acquisition of D Kevin Woodyatt (92) from the OJHL's Newmarket Hurricanes for future considerations.

Victoria is doing some major roster juggling right now, with two players - Woodyatt and F Brad Gehl (91) - listed as affiliates, even though they are neither prospects nor players who aren't expected to play a regular role with the Grizzlies. They can each play ten games as an AP before Victoria needs to make a decision on them or someone else on their roster.

I'm thinking that other teams will begin to do the same thing as they try to manage the newly reduced 21-man roster in the BCHL.

In the meantime, here's the skinny on this trade...
