18-year-old forward Spencer Asuchak, who was signed by the Centennials in June of 2008, was traded yesterday in the Western Hockey League. The Tri-City Americans dealt the Kamloops product to Prince George for a 13th round pick in the 2010 bantam draft.
Asuchak has four points in 12 games this season after posting seven points in 38 games in his first WHL season last year with the Ams. In 2007-08, he had 21 points in 31 games with the Major Midget Thompson Blazers. He was scheduled to attend Centennials training camp in September 2008, but made Tri-City after attending their camp and never wound up coming to Merritt.
