Island Storm Starts With A Loss:

A tough 3-1 loss for the Centennials last night in Alberni Valley. Seven hours on the bus likely contributed to a slow start and a 2-0 deficit. On the bright side, good to see 16-year-old Evan Burgess make his BCHL debut and also be named second star! 19-year-old Sean Menton also played his third game in a Centennials uniform as an affiliate player. Dustin Johnson's goal was a beauty, here's how it was described by Cents play-by-play man Alex Grebenyuk on Radio NL:

For the Cents, it's their eleventh straight loss as they haven't been able to win away from the Nicola Valley Memorial Arena since Halloween night. They're also winless in six straight after starting the New Year with an OT loss and a win against PG and Quesnel.
